Piet Hein’s PIET HEIN chair is based on his iconic superellipse™ shape, originally developed for Sergels Torg in Stockholm. Designed for his superelliptical table, the chair took nearly a decade to develop and was completed in 1968. Hein used mathematical principles to create a harmonious geometric form, demonstrating his distinctive approach to combining function, simplicity, and timeless design. The chair remained unproduced until its revival.
